Vauxhall Astra vxr - faulty car - iclegg
I have baught a car 3 days ago its 57 plate done 83k miles,i payed £5000 and part x my car total £6000.

i have put 170 miles on this car and problems have started.

front left break grinding/squeeking.
aux input faulty crackling.
engine overheating fan coming on alot early on a drive.
ticking noise from engine.
gear stick grinding/moving in 5th.
front right tyre is cracked all the way around.

how do i go about getting my money back i payed cash for my car and they havent yet give me a receipt told me server was down.
if they say no to a full refund what do i do.

First off : don't go borrowing trouble, as my dad used to say.

Go, tell them the problems, say you want to reject under CRA.

If they then refuse, start dealing with it. But worrying about all the 'what ifs...' now serves no purpose at all.

i have just took it back and he has agreed to fix everything i asked for an invoice which he then stated *this means nothing i could tell you to f*** off and go else where to get this car fixed, you can try take me to court and loose but i will fix these problems for you*
i then said well you can try explaining to the mynistry of transport how you passed an mot with a broken seat belt and a cracket tyre.
he says i dident mot the car a garrage i took it to did we dont do them ourselves.

First off, get the work done.

When it has been done, and all is as it should be ... tell him to issue you a receipt. If he refuses,, inform him that you will be going to Trading Standards and HMRC, as it appears he may be fiddling the taxman.
