I have just baught a car for cash from a trade dealership they couldn't print me out a reciept because the server was down. He says come back and we will sort it for you.

They have told me a warrenty company is going to ring me Monday morning to activate warrenty.i have just rung the warrenty company asking these details they said they don't do ringing people to activate.

The car was serviced and mot but no service stamp he says he will get this stamped by Tuesday the car has a few problems that I would like fixing.

The only proof I have is the car is on the website still for sale and I part x my car I'm getting worried now incase he tries dodging me on Monday what do I do.

There's no such thing as a "trade" dealership - either it's a dealer who sells cars or a private seller selling a single car.

Don't let them suggest that you don't have full consumer rights!

I have to say, it does sound dodgy - a handwritten receipt is a sensible alternative if the "server is down".

I mean a proper dealer not private. The car has done 150 miles since I had it now it's making ticking noises that sounds like rod knock subarus get this. I have no proof I payed cash what so ever they could refuse everything and leave me with a broken car I have had it 2 days what can I do can I get all my money back and my part x car back what happens if they say no where do I go.

If the car is still shown on the web site print the add off, to refer to if the transaction becomes messy.
