focus zetec 5dr mk1 - Electric window - confused - amyamandaallen

Hi,

The driver side regulator has snapped in my focus so looking to get another however there seems to be confusion over the amount of pins? it contains. These are the pins that connect to the motor eith 2 6 or 8? I think mines a 2 but theres different versions depending if it has a 'comfortor'?

Well confused. I posted a link elsewhere and wonder if anyone can confirm ( logic says its 2 but I think the switch menas it has a confortor? ) http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/84203-window-regulator/

I would take it out but its bag tied to a block of wood holding the window in place and I would like to get the replacement beforehand.

Cheers

All you need to look for is a 2-pin connector to the motor.cars with multi pin (6 or 8)connectors have comfort open/close facility from the key remote/lock.This system is usually ony fitted to Ghia models with 4 electric windows. You can buy non-genuine motors for these, but will need a slight wiring modification, included in the new motor kit.

Thanks for replying.

The motor is fine on mine so just need the regulator. I presume thats 2 pin showing in my forum link?

I think mine is also fitted with a 1 press button for the drivers front window ( is that the extra arrow shown in the link? )

I have another mk1 focus, a ghia which shows all 4 windows with the extra arrow but our fobs look indentical.

Cheers.

If your motor is ok,all you need is the mechanical regulator /cable assembly. They are all the same(drivers door),irrespective of one touch or comfort.Btw,the brown relay with the green plug is for the one touch system.

You can buy cable repair kits. Try the 'usual' sources
