2005 Citroen C5 1.6 hdi VTR - Suspension Pump - SuffolkC5er

My suspension pump has failed and needs to be replaced.

I have 2 questions

1) Can the pump be seperated from the ecu?

2) If not, does the ecu need configuring to the car and if so, can this only be done by a citroen dealer?

I have had a look in the Haynes manual and it says it has to be 'initialised' by your Citroen dealer if a new pump has ben fitted, which seems to suggest that if you are refitting the old one it doesn't.

I would think that anyone with a Lexia would be able to programme it for you. If you look on the French Car forum you will find a list of owners most of whom would oblige for a small fee or even free. I have one but am in the westcountry you may find someone local to you.

It doesn't say anything about being able to seperate it, it shows it as one unit. There are plenty of scrap cars about now so you could probably get a used one cheap.

An enquiry on the FCF will probably be helpful.
