Cat C write off - Alan

I am thinking of buying a cat C car.

How much in % terms does it knock off the value of a two year old car which has been a C. It is below " book price" and I and wondering if it is the right price considering.

If I am happy with the car I would intend keeping it six or seven years so the residual value would not be too much of an issue.

I have bought a cat C car before with no problem but that was a lot older.

The general rule for Cat D is 20-25% off the normal price. It should be noted that war

Cat C ... 40-50% off normal price.
