When I open the drivers side door from outside or inside the car, the boot opens

Any idaes?

Opening the door stresses the wiring harness.

peel back the convoulted rubber boot from the wiring on the hinge side and check for damage.

I woud be inclined to check the tailgate opening rubber button switch.Could be sticking on.
