There are 2 types of driving in Colchester, dangerously fast and dangerously slow. It makes driving round central London look like a gentlemans sport.

I've always thought that there's nothing quite like Guildford to drive in, with a lot of steep hills and a high proportion of elderly drivers. Colchester is also a hill town so is probably similar.

When I used to go there regularly, our firm's office was at the top of Balkerne Hill, so coming in from the west via the A12 fortunately I didn't have to get involved in the town centre.
