Porsche Boxster 2008 - Service due warning - paulc924

I bought this car from a garage this time last year and enjoyed last summer with it covering 3500 miles or so. The garage had serviced the car and told me that it would not need doing for two years. The car was in storage since last October and was run occaisionly. Unfortunately when I went to start it this morning the battery was very low and needed a jump start to get the engine running. The car is great except that every time I put the ignition on it warns me that it needs a service now. Does anyone know how I can reset this please? Regards.

The service interval is 2 years or 20k miles.

If you use the onboard compuer under "info" then "messages" it will tell you when the service is next due or in your case how overdue

There is a crude counter based on the last time it was serviced and based on above interval. I have had mine serviced at Porsche dealer and they alway reset it. So assume its a case of plugging in a laptop and reseting the counter. Any Porsche dealer would do this and I am sure most if not all Porsche specalists would do the same.
