Big Black Estate Car - Flying Table - veryoldbear

Parked up a Peterborough Antiques Fair yesterday, and struggling to get a table onto the roof rack when it got away from us and blew off and hit somebody else's parked car.

Now is this actually a car insurance issue, or is it more a third party liability thing? Neither car was being driven at the time.

Big Black Estate Car - Flying Table - FP

I'm not an expert, but I would have thought this was in the first instance a matter for car insurance, since cars are involved on both sides. And a car has been damaged.

I don't think it matters whether the cars were being driven or not.

Hard luck, VOB - I can imagine the scenario. It's surprising how things like a table can act like a large sail in high winds.
