Sorry, but the forum's ESP sensors aren't working at the moment, so either:

  1. Be much more specific about the size, type and other defining characteristics you're looking for in a 'family car', or;
  2. Read the 'Reviews' section or use HJ's 'Car Chooser'.

We're not mind readers and it would be nice if you'd bother to have a go at finding out yourself before asking for some advice, as it appears you haven't as yet.

I'm not quite sure why you've started this thread, as you already have one running asking for views on the Honda FRV versus the VW Golf Plus (2010).

People so far favour the FRV, although it wasn discontinued, at least in the UK, in 2009. It never sold as well as it deserved, possibly as it cost too much.

For reliability, something Japanese and petrol-powered will be best for reliability, although there are more Fords around to choose from if you're buying used, and the Focus and Mondeo are good cars.

I recommend also A Rolls Royce. Lots of space and when did you last hear of one broken down?

No, I'm Spartacus! Aren't you Ronnie Pickering?

Why do I get the impression that the OP is some 'yoof' 'havin a larf' via his mobile phone with his mates? I mean, don't these people actually bother to browse the website (and others) first before asking such inept questions?

I'm starting to sound like my 72 year-old Dad when he was my age (42)!
