Winter diesel fuel in the UK is distributed from november to march.
Does this winter fuel affect fuel consumption adversely?
I know it's got addtives in it that lower the cloud point from just above freezing point to below it.
Winter diesel has slightly lower calorific value but not enough to notice on it's own except in a laboratory - of course, winter use of any diesel increases fuel consumption due the much longer warm-up cycle during which fuel is wasted and that is noticeable by owners.
OP should check obvious things like tyre pressures and that brakes haven't been over-adjusted - also make sure that all hoses/connections under the bonnet are sound.
