i bought none runner 206cc has new key fob just turns over i was told it was imobolizer prob but think may be key is not coded how do i find out if key coded or bsi prob its cheep car so need to try all befor start throwing money at it please help im finacaly challenged wrigjt now

There's a little red key icon on the dash when the keys turned to position 2/

does that go off?

or stay on?

If it's stays on then the keys not reccognised.

Is the key fob missing the ID46 chip? So many people get a new key fob and forget to transfer it over from the old key housing to the new!

  1. thank u for your help i was told chip is in the circuit board with entry buttons on there is no little black chop at front of key .diplay says econommy mode active .i also dont have security code and toomy say 7/10 days any ideas thank you so much for your help

You could try a new battery in the fob then re-syncing the key. You'll find the instructions in your handbook. If you don't have one they're online here:

If that doesn't work, give this chap a call. He's a regular on the Peugeotforums doing keys and will give free advice:

Don't worry about "economy mode", that's a failsafe feature that disables lights, radio, heater until the car is started.
