I have a Peugeot 3008 1.6 HDi "Sport" (laughable really how they can call it that) and I've owned it for 18 months. The brake pads, at least in the front, badly need changing. It's a job I usually do myself, but someone told me that I won't be able to change the brake pads front and rear myself as the computer needs to be reset. Aparently this is due to the electronic handbrake that comes with the car.
Is this true? And if it is, does this mean it's a dealership job or could another mechanic with some sort of diagnostic device replace the brake pads?
