Porsche Boxster - Warning lights on dash after fitting a fuse - csgmart

A work colleague of mine has just informed me that whilst attempting to fix his non functioning radio he has managed to generate a dash full or warning lights.

The problem started with the radio suddenly not working a few days ago. We were discussing this in the office earlier this week and I suggested that as a place to start he could check the fuses to see if one had blown.

He has done this and informed me that he found that slot "F10" didn't contain a fuse (there was some reference to this slot being part of the audio circuits in the handbook). He popped a spare fuse into this slot and it has generated a number of error messages and warning lights. He has removed the new fuse but these messages are still present on the dash.

Short of going to a Porsche dealer to reset these codes does anyone here have any suggestions on how these messages could be reset please?

As I understand it he hasn't started the car - simply turned the ignition to the first position.

Car is a 2006 Boxster S.

May be worth trying a battery disconnect for 10 mins.Worth a try.Other wise it's a trip tp a Porsche specialist.

Thank you. I've passed the message on. Will let you know the eventual outcome.

As above but you could also try connecting the battery clamps to each other

Pos clamp touching Neg clamp.

when the battery is removed.

UPDATE: - local indie had to be called out as car wouldn't start. Managed to start it and took it to his workshop where the codes were reset and fuse that had blown (causing the original issue of radio not working) was replaced.

Wasn't too expensive in the end - considering the work involved (he also replaced blown side light bulbs at the same time).
