Ford radio codes - galileo

I see on today's Technical section no less than seven requests for Ford Radio codes (mostly Fiestas), why is it so common for Ford owners to need these?

A few ideas spring to mind.Focus and Fiesta models are very popular and often change owners fairly regularly (especially the fiesta)and the radio code paperwork gets lost.Ford was one of the few makers to use radio codes up to around 2010.
