Landwind X7 - Chinese knock off. - RogJazz

I have seen one of these cars here in Wiltshire. Are they now on sale in the UK?

I wouldn't be surprised if it were a grey import, as JLR were trying (in vain) in China to get these cheap knock-off copies stopped. Rather surprised that it got here at all, given that - the EU/UK authorities look far more kindly on claims against Chinese copies of products than China does for obvious reasons.

I wouldn't be suprised if it was brought from a Landwind dealer in europe and imported into the UK.

The only problem is that the Landwind web site for europe does not show the X7 as being for sale.

If brought from China (over the web ?), I would imagine the import duty (that may be really high) still works out cheaper than buying a Landrover in the first place.
