Honda CR-V II (2004) - Rear Parking Sensor - Where's the ECU? - Mark Derrick

Yesterday, the rear parking sensors on my CR-V totally stopped working.

No beep as I engage into reverse, no anything!

Guessing there's an issue with the ECU, but I've no idea where it is.

Would anyone know where I can locate this, or indeed any other reason why they may have stopped working?

Thanks!

First find out which fuse they're on, and check that the fuse has not blown.

Firstly,do the reverse lights work?A Crv of this age is unlikely to have factory fit sensors. More often than not, they are fitted with aftermarket dealer approved product. The ecu will be in the boot area, possibly behind one of the rear side panels.I would not condemn the ecu just yet,as nothing has been tested.

Try fuse first.

Do reversing lights work? (If aftermarket, the sensors will be wired into them) If no, check reversing lights fuse, then check reversing light switch .

Could be broken wire. - check connections to sensors behind rear bumper..
