My friend's spare key was stolen - how do we ensure the thief doesn't come back and steal her car?
A friend of mine has come back from holiday to find her house has been burgled. She took her car with her, but the burglars have taken her spare set of keys for the MINI. We've blocked the car in for tonight, but what should she do about the keys? She's very worried that they'll come back with the spare keys and she'll lose her car too.

That's a possibility. What I use is a Disklok (from accessory shops and from Halfords) that completely covers the steering wheel and needs an angle grinder to remove. Long-term this means having the car locking system re-coded, having her main key recoded, and buying a new coded spare key. Expensive, but possibly covered by the house insurance.

How can I protect my keyless entry car from being stolen?
Does keyless entry theft only apply to cars with a push start button, or all cars that are opened with a key fob? I would like to be clear so that we can take appropriate security action.
