Skoda cars

I notice in your review of Skoda cars you state that they are owned by VW. This is not true, they are are assisted by VW in their specification, but Skoda remain an independant company.

Skoda is part of the VAG group in the sense thar most of its shares are owned by VAG. It is not merely 'assisted'. It builds cars on VAG platforms, and fits them with VAG drivetrains. Skoda does not independently make any of its own engines and has not done so since around 2002 when the old pushrod 1.4 was finally dropped.
