I know you are a fan of this car and I'd like to take the plunge and buy new, but is the diesel worth the premium over petrol?

www.drivethedeal.com have 3.0V6 diesel luxurys for £30,7,50 which is only £750 more than Jaguar want for the 3.0V6 petrol luxury. The diesel has more spec. But you will need to drive it distances regularly for the DPF to regenerate, no repeated short runs from cold starts.
