Ford 1.0 Ecoboost engine - is it reliable?
Is this engine reliable?
Asked on 16 December 2017 by Norman Garlick

As long as it never suffers any coolant leaks. But failure of the degas pipe that carries steam from the water cooled turbo to the expansion tank can cause a disaster. Be very careful indeed buying a used Ford with this engine from a dubious source. Avoid buying at auction.
