My 2002 Ford Mondeo is producing a tapping noise - can you help me fix it?

I have a Ford Mondeo Ghia TDCI 2002. It has a tapping noise which is very loud when I start the car. When driving over 1000rpm it goes way. Can you help me fix it?

This could be the hydraulic tappets. When the engine starts, oil then builds up pressure and that's why the noise disappears. Happens on quite a lot of engines.
