Is Citroen likely to contribute to repairing our C1's exhaust?
Our Citroen C1 was three years old at the end of May so it's outside warranty. Prior to this I gathered that some C1s/107s/Aygos had suffered loose exhaust baffles and were being remedied by dealers. When ours started getting noisier my dealer (50 miles away) confirmed this and described the appearance of the suspect silencers by their spot weld pattern. I lay under the car whilst on the mobile and described the spot weld pattern on ours; he concluded that it was probably not of the suspect type and said that they all get a bit noisier as time passes.
The problem is that shortly after the warranty expired, the noise became much worse, and got worse still. I'm in no doubt that something's now completely loose inside the exhaust. Please can you advise whether Citroen has had any kind of mandatory repair programme or is making goodwill gestures where cars are now just outside warranty?

Never heard of this. But three years is fair wear and tear on a rear silencer box. They only cost about £100 anyway.
