What's the 'Stop' sign flashing on my Peugeot 206's dash?

I have a problem with my Peugeot 206. A 'Stop' sign keeps flashing on the speedometer. What is this?

That's a general warning for all sorts of engine problems. Get it to a Peugeot dealer, or at least a garage.
