Why is my Volkswagen Bora burning oil?
I own a 1999 1.6se petrol Volkswagen Bora which seems to be burning a lot of oil, which can be seen more so when taking off after sitting in traffic, or taking off after back pressure has been applied to the engine. Any ideas what it could be?

Most likely failed valve stem oil seals.
