Must I visit my Rover dealer to buy and reprogram an expensive spare key for our 175?
My wife and I drive a 2003 Rover 175. Recently we have lost the spare key. Our Rover dealer has quoted £265 for a replacement, which may take 3-4 weeks and involve two journeys to the nearest Rover agents, as payment must be made in person initially and when the key arrives from Germany, it requires another visit to programme the key to car. We really only need a key for manual use in emergency. Is there a service which would allow us to just obtain a key?
