I received an NIP for speeding 78 days after the alleged offence. What can I do?
I have received a NIP for apparently doing 38 in a 30mph zone. However, the alleged offence was 78 days ago. The NIP was issued 78 days after the event. I simply cannot remember if it was me or my wife driving on that day. We both work from home and interchange the car frequently. I appreciate that we are supposed to do everything in our ability to remember, but we cannot from so long ago.

If the car is registered to you at your home then the NIP has passed its time limit. If the car is registered to somewhere else, and has been forwarded or re-sent, then it hasn't. HJ.
The amount of time since the original offence does greatly assist your case though, that you do not know who was driving. LBC.
