Should I buy or lease a Ford Kuga?
I am considering buying a Ford Kuga Zetec for £18,300, or would it be more cost-effective to lease? I am retiring soon and anticipate that I will log up 12,000 to 15,000 miles per year. What are the drawbacks of leasing for a private individual?

That's cheap. Same sort of money as a Hyundai ix35. The cost and penalties of leasing to do 12,000 to 15,000 a year might be quite high. You cannot claim the VAT back, you don't own the car so penalties take longer to get to you, and you may not be able to take it overseas without a V5C. Faced with this deal I'd buy.
