Why is this online car broker increasing the price for a white Kia Picanto?
There is an online car broker which is advertising new 2010 1.0-litre Kia Picantos for £6593, representing a £632 discount off the RRP. They state that the colour white is the default colour. However, when you proceed to buy the car you find that although it states this colour is available at £0 on the options list, you find that you have to tick the box for white as an option to proceed, and when you do so you find that this option adds the same as a metallic option (ie £395) thereby increasing the price to £6988. The net result is that there isn't a car available for the stated price of £6593.
Maybe it's me but I don't think it's right that people should be misled in such a brazen way and that the company should be made to withdraw their offer and make the necessary changes so as not to have people wasting their time. I even went to the bother of ringing them up and they informed me that there's nothing they can do about it - tough luck. Any advice ?

I agree with you, especially as Hyundai is currently advertising the much better i10 1.2 Classic at £6995 after a £730 dealer incentive.
