Bio Diesel for newer cars?

I bought a Cadillac BLS 1.9 Wagon in January. £15,772 for an all singing all dancing car with Sat Nav bluetooth seemed like good value. I have now covered 20,000 miles with only a loose wire on a fog light and poor sweep of the rear wiper by way of complaint.

Economy for a comfy barge like this on an Auto box is pretty good. Typically 42-44mpg, never worse than 40mpg now its run in, and over 48 mpg on long runs, but fuel is so expensive. I know you have reservations about the engine, but what are the chances of running it on biodiesel which is sold locally for 85p a litre?
