Should I get genuine Ford headlight deflectors for my Focus?

Ford has given me an incredibly complicated template for dipped lights in Europe, but the accessory shop sells small (AA-approved, I think) plastic tear-shaped panels - nothing like the Ford offering. I want to be legal, so who is correct? The vehicle is a 54-reg Focus.

Ford will be correct for its specific lights. You may have to cut the accessory shop stickers, and also make sure they are suitable for polycarbonate headlight lenses.
