Why's my Ford Mondeo losing power and smoking?
My Ford Mondeo is a 2003 TDCi 130bhp Ghia. Since last week, as I apply acceleration to my car gently from 0 up till 85mph, it feels like it is losing power but it never cuts out fully. But, if I accelerate fast from 0 to 85 it runs fine, as it should be, but i see from my mirror that it gives a bit of smoke after doing this. I was advised to change the diesel fuel filter and add a diesel injector cleaner, but the same problem is still occurring.

It reads like the turbo is giving out. The smoke will be lube oil from failed turbo bearing seals.
