Can I switch to an Irish driving licence to avoid a speeding fine?
I was caught doing 105mph in a 60mp limit two days ago. I have a clean licence but have just passed my test four weeks ago. Can I quickly exchange my licence for a irish one and avoid a ban? I'm a lorry driver and need my licence.

You cannot just exchange your licence for an Irish one as any prosecutions would go with it. It is much more complex than that. 105mph in a 60mph zone means you will be summoned to court. The court will want to consider a short period disqualification in these circumstances (of up to 56 days) but may agree to a shorter period. It may be that a short disqualification will mean you can avoid penalty points.
