Is it risky to buy a high mileage P-reg BMW 320i Cabriolet?

I've seen a P-reg BMW 320i Cabriolet E36 with 237,000 miles, which looks alright and has a full BMW service history and MoT. The seller says it drives fine. Can these easily do more miles, or is this a worryingly high mileage? It has some paint lacquer peel on bonnet and the odd scab, but it has an electric roof and leather seats, and is being sold for £750. Is it worth the risk?

It is old and leggy. But £750 is still cheap to get into one of these, especially if the hood is good. Sure you might have problems. It's worth carefully checking the oil and coolant for any sign of a cylinder head problem.
