How can I prevent my Volvo S80's battery from going flat when left?

I have a Volvo S80 D5 and when I leave it, say, at an airport for more than about 12 days, the battery goes flat because I can't see how to lock the car without using the remote. I can buy a battery backup to keep in the car but have you any suggestions?

Yes, you could buy a booster from a car accessory shop.
