I have been looking at the Alfa GT last special edition. If I kept it for a few years, the costs of buying a soon-to-be-replaced model would lessen and the car is packed with features and remains a thing of automotive beauty. However, you have commented on the 1.9 JTD engine problems over the years, which makes me somewhat wary of the car. It now has the uprated 170hp engine and I wondered whether this was merely the 150hp one remapped, or whether there are any other changes to it which would reduce the likelihood of serious problems during an ownership period of about around five years and 50,000 miles?
