Which car could I buy through Motability which has a high seat for easy access?
I am disabled, 69 years young, six feet tall. I am having increasing difficulty getting up from a standard saloon car driver's seat, even at the highest setting. I need to get my bottom higher than my knees, which is achieved in an MPV-type vehicle, and this essentially solves most of the problem. An adult booster seat might be an answer, if such is available? I would prefer to continue driving a saloon car, but have not found one that resolves the problem.
I am a Motability client, due to replace my current car (a Mazda 6 2.0 auto petrol) at the end of 2010. I'm looking at the current Motability MPV list (2.0 litre automatic petrol models) which includes Ford C-Max and S-Max, Nissan NV 2.0, Vauxhall Zafira, Kia Caren and Renault Scenic. I have been very impressed with the Mazda 6 and have looked at the 5 which is also excellent, but it's not on the current list. What do you think?

Consider a Toyota Auris hybrid. It has a higher seating position than is usual in this class of car and, being a hybrid, is not likely to suffer diesel particulate filter problems. Also, being a CVT auto, it offers a very gentle and very pleasant drive. Test and video on this site.

Decent combination of ride and handling that might suit some people better than a harder sprung Golf or a Civic. A few inches taller than a Golf of Focus so easier to get in and out.
