After a petrol automatic car - what do you suggest?
A friend is looking to exchange his Honda CR-V for a new/second hand car-depending upon price. He wants petrol, automatic and drivers seat with good height adjustment. He has tried a Golf which might suit but I have told him of your DSG concerns-is there an auto Golf with better auto box?

No alternative to DSG on a Golf, but the facelift Golf/Leon due from next month should have the new 7-speed higher torque oil-clutch DSG which is much better. Mazda 2, Mazda 3, Mazda CX-3 all have an excellent 6-speed torque converter autobox that as far as I know has never been any trouble.
