What's causing my Micra to lurch while driving?

My Nissan Micra jerks and lurches at low to medium speeds. It starts fine, accelerating well, but then starts to lurch along at medium speeds - up to 60mph. The plugs and filters have all been replaced, but the problem continues. Any idea what's causing it?

Mass airflow sensor malfunction. Unfortunately this is embedded in the throttle body and it takes a skilled genius to replace it without having to replace the entire throttle body. Might be possible to clean it.
