Buying a used car - seller's address doesn't match V5C
I have just viewed a used car that's for sale. All looked fine, except the log book (V5C) document has the V5C/3 (selling to a motor trader) yellow slip missing. The guy selling the car could not give an explanation as to why the yellow slip was missing which makes me a little suspicious, particularly as he said that he has owned the car from new. Also, the address on the V5 was not correct - the guy said he had moved recently. Should I be worried?

Very bogus. Ask him if he'll take a personal cheque made out to the registered keeper in the V5C. I doubt he will because it isn't him. But whatever he says, run a mile. There are plenty of straight cars out there, so why buy trouble?
