Nissan Qashqai clutch judder

My 2014 Nissan Qashqai at 19,000 miles has clutch judder, from stationary and between gear changes. It does not appear on local or modest trips, but on long journeys, or as last weekend in a massive very slow moving queue, when the whole car shakes terribly. My view it is happening when the clutch is at its most hottest.

My local Nissan dealer says clutches from day one are not included in the guarantee from any manufacturer. Is that the case?

As usual, it would help enormously if you told us which engine this Qashqai has. If it's a diesel it will certainly have a dual mass flywheel and that will be the source of the trouble. If it's petrol it might have a DMF but DMF trouble with petrol drivetrains is far less common.
