My Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 TDCI won't start. Does it have an electrical fault?

My 2004 Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 TDCI won't start in the mornings. I've changed the battery twice, changed the alternator and both have been checked, no lights left on during night, but my electric windows work without any ignition keys in, and fans don't blow till I put them on full speed.

It does sound as though you have a circuit still running after switching the ignition off. However I wouldn't have thought that it would be the electric windows. Other areas that do cause leakage overnight can include the radio circuit, internal lights (not switching off when doors closed), or the boot light staying on. It doesn't take much to drain the battery overnight, and sometimes it can be a minefield to find the culprit.

My Vauxhall Vectra won't start when I turn the key. All I get is a ticking noise. Can you please help?
When I turn the ignition key, the lights come on the dashboard but there's just a clicking noise and the engine doesn't turn. I've charged the battery using a battery starter as it hadn't been driven in...

Far better than previous Vectra. Now with decent handling and an excellent ride. Plenty of safety kit. Roomy in the front. Big boot. Good looks.
