Are there any known problems with the Skoda Rapid 1.2 petrol?

I'm looking at possibly buying a one year old Skoda Rapid with a 1.2 petrol engine. Do you know of any problems with this engine?

Yes. Some of the timing chains were badly made and can fail. It's hit and miss. But if the chain rattles, don't buy the car.

Looks like a saloon, but is actually a hatch. Good value for money. Very practical and spacious.
