When is the best time to buy a used SUV?

I plan to buy a used Landrover Discovery 4 in time for a new arrival in November. Am I better off buying a 2012 car with comparatively lower mileage or a 2013 car with slightly higher mileage? Also, which is the best month between now and the end of October to buy? Thank you.

Traditionally, prices of ordinary cars drop in late October and November, then hit a nadir and pick up in December as dealers stock up for the new year at the year's lowest used prices. 4x4 SUV prices depend on the weather. If there's a threat of a cold and snowy winter, they traditionally go up from September.
