P0087 & P0088 fault codes - what do they mean?

I own a Ford S-MAX (2008 model) 2.2 diesel. Recently it has displayed some fault codes. P0087 and P0088 both coming on at the same time. The car drives perfect until it's put under a bit of strain going up hill on the motorway at which point it goes into limp mode. If you turn the ignition off then back on again goes back to driving fine. Any idea what the problem could be?

Well P0087/0088 is saying that the fuel system pressure is to high. Either you have a blockage in the fuel return pipe or it could be the regulator or the fuel pump itself.
