Smokey start up in my BMW - why?
There's always lots of smoke (blue/white) on a cold start up, once warm it disappears completely. Any ideas?

One or more of the glowplugs is not lighting up, so the fuel in that combustion chamber is not igniting until the engine gets to temperature and runs on compression ignition.
