What's causing a noise to come from my Nissan Micra's clutch when starting?
I have a Nissan Micra Twister, S-reg (1998 model) manual, 1.0-litre engine. When I start it, pressing down the clutch pedal (whether in neutral or in gear), the pedal feels some resistance and engine produces sound like a worn bearing. After a few seconds, the sound disappears and everything works fine. The car is running absolutely fine, other than this starting noise.

It's probably rust on the clutch release bearing that quickly grinds itself off. But look on our car-by-car breakdown. There was another problem with Micra clutches.
