Does this engine which uses Adblue injection likely to have the defeat system software fitted?

Honest John
The original Q5 has the EA288 2.0 TDI. But from April 2012 it was fitted with the newer EA288 2.0 TDI with a little bit more power (177PS for the EA288 vs 170PS for the EA189). The EA288 is the EU6 engine and as far as I know it does not need the 'defeat' software to achieve EU6 0.08g/km NOx.
