What should I do when issued with a ticket for overstaying in a car park?
Could you repeat for me the position re being fined for overstaying on a supermarket carpark?

All you have to do is send them £5 or £10 "in reasonable payment in full for my breach of contract in overstaying the contracted parking time". They will then either have to accept this or take you to court where their unreasonable penalty will probably be thrown out.
