Volkswagen emissions scandal: which engines?

Earlier today you stated in an answer that only the 2.0 TDI engine is involved in the VW diesel scandal, it would now appear you were wrong VW have conceded the 1.6 TDI is also included and these are around in vast numbers in the UK, this is no longer a minor issue.

1.6TDIs in the USA which have to have an SCR AdBlue system to meet US NOx standards. They don't have this system in Europe.
